Monica Wiercigroch

My research is based on the facies and high-frequency stratigraphic cyclicity analysis of the thin bedded Upper Cretaceous Juana Lopez Member of the Mancos Shale in Shiprock, New Mexico. This research will contribute to a greater understanding of glacio-eustatic controls in the Cretaceous Western Interior Seaway, and how this control may vary laterally throughout the seaway. In addition, this research provides oil and gas industries with a better understanding of the cyclicity in heterolithic units which may consist of small scale reservoir seal pair prospects.
